Summary

What you’ll impact

The Cybersecurity Threat Hunter will join the organization's Security Operations team to proactively identify, investigate, and respond to advanced threats across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments. The role involves threat hunting, incident response support, development of detection rules and playbooks, and collaboration with various cybersecurity teams.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

  • Conduct proactive threat hunting across endpoint, network, and cloud environments.
  • Investigate suspicious activity, security alerts, indicators of compromise (IOCs), and potential threat actor activity.
  • Use SIEM, EDR, and Threat Intelligence platforms to identify advanced threats.
  • Develop and enhance detection rules, queries, and threat-hunting techniques.
  • Analyze logs, network traffic, endpoint telemetry, and security events.
  • Perform security investigations, endpoint forensics, and malware analysis.
  • Apply MITRE ATT&CK and understand current attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Develop scripts and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.
  • Support incident response, containment, investigation, and remediation activities.
  • Develop threat-hunting playbooks, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with SOC, Incident Response, Security Engineering, and other cybersecurity teams.

Requirements

What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years of cybersecurity experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Threat Hunting, Threat Intelligence, or Incident Response.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SIEM and EDR technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, threat actor behavior, and TTPs.
  • Experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Strong understanding of Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience with network security, protocols, log analysis, and packet analysis.
  • Experience with AWS and Azure security.
  • Knowledge of endpoint forensics, malware analysis, and security investigations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
