What you’ll impact
The Cryptography Engineer will implement and support cryptographic and key management solutions across the organization, including building a platform for post‑quantum cryptography and supporting HSM solutions. The role collaborates with cross‑functional teams, creates architecture and documentation, and responds to internal and regulatory requests.
Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Implement and support cryptography and Key Management Systems (KMS) solutions across the BNY Enterprise.
- Build, integrate, and support a Cryptographic Asset Management Platform to enable the move to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
- Partner with cross-functional teams to determine cryptography and keys use cases.
- Build and Support HSM solutions.
- Create architecture, system build, procedures, and knowledge articles documentation.
- Respond to requests from users, Internal Audit, and Federal Regulators on BNY PKI.
Requirements
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related fields.
- Certifications: CISSP.
- 5+ years of experience installing and supporting cryptographic solutions.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with HSMs and Key Management Systems (KMS).
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Cryptographic algorithms and key management.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Automation of cryptographic key services.
- Must have experience with Thales product line- Thales HSM, Thales Ciphertrust.
- Knowledge of Oracle key vault.
- Knowledge of Quantum Computing and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards (GDPR, DORA, NIST, and ISO 27001).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
