What you’ll impact
The Senior IT Manager - AI Innovation & Engineering will lead AI engineering squads and define AI priorities and roadmaps, working across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders. This remote US‑based role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying AI‑powered products on Google Cloud Platform while providing technical leadership and managing project delivery.
Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Lead and develop AI engineering squads, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement
- Define AI priorities and roadmaps alongside business and technology leaders
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered products on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Provide technical leadership across architecture, engineering, testing, and performance
- Manage project plans and team capacity to ensure successful delivery of AI initiatives
- Foster strong relationships with business customers and communicate strategic recommendations
- Stay updated on emerging AI technologies to influence the company's AI strategy
Requirements
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred
- 8-10 years experience in AI or software engineering initiatives, with significant time in people management
- Direct experience managing engineering talent, including managing managers or squad leads
- Familiarity with the company’s business and application data domains is a plus
- Hands-on programming background in Java and/or Python, with experience in software architecture and engineering
