What you’ll impact
The Staff+ Application Security Engineer at the organization is responsible for designing, building, and operating advanced security systems for AI products, including AI-driven code analysis, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation. The role involves leading secure design reviews, enhancing the bug bounty program, and collaborating with product, infrastructure, and research teams to embed security throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain Claude-powered security systems, including AI-driven code analysis, vulnerability remediation, and threat modeling tools
- Lead secure design reviews and threat assessments for innovative AI systems, identifying unique risks beyond traditional frameworks
- Enhance and evolve the company's bug bounty program, automating routine triage and escalation processes
- Partner with Product, Infrastructure, and Research teams as an embedded security owner, advising on system launches, architecture, and security constraints
- Participate in operational security rotations, including incident response, vulnerability management, and security incident escalations
- Contribute to the development of security automation tools and developer-facing security tooling to streamline security workflows
- Maintain comprehensive security documentation, standards, and best practices aligned with organizational goals
Requirements
What you’ll bring
- Hands-on application and infrastructure security experience, including cloud and containerized environments
- Production-quality coding ability in Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript
- Proven experience in practical threat modeling and vulnerability identification
- Ability to operate independently and handle ambiguous problems with minimal supervision
- Excellent technical communication skills for both engineering teams and leadership
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study
- Minimum years of experience aligned with senior-level security engineering roles
