The IAM Administrator at the organization will manage application administration, maintenance, and identity and access management support, including program development, user acceptance testing, access reviews, and system documentation. The role involves implementing security protocols, assessing vulnerabilities, developing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards while guiding less experienced team members.
Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Administer security tools and processes that safeguard the bank’s technical areas and data, ensuring compliance with security policies and standards.
- Participate in security audits, identify security gaps, and develop risk mitigation strategies to address vulnerabilities.
- Analyze networks, applications, and systems to identify potential threats or vulnerabilities, compiling data from various sources to create actionable intelligence.
- Maintain current knowledge of emerging security threats, industry best practices, and technological advancements to enhance the bank’s defenses.
- Investigate and resolve security incidents, including unauthorized access, malware infections, cyber attacks, and configuration anomalies, escalating issues as necessary.
- Assist in the development and refinement of security policies, standards, and strategic plans to strengthen overall security posture.
- Manage Active Directory and other directory services, including user provisioning, group policies, and permissions management.
- Support the implementation and administration of IAM solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational policies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders regarding security protocols and IAM technologies.
- Contribute to user acceptance testing, system documentation, and ongoing maintenance of IAM systems and related security infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call support rotations, providing after-hours assistance to address urgent security or system issues.
Requirements
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, with at least 4 years of experience in systems engineering, network management, or information security.
- Or High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, network administration, or security roles.
- 3-4 years of proven experience as an IAM Engineer or in a related position.
- Proficiency in SailPoint IdentityIQ installation, configuration, and administration.
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts such as identity lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), and least privilege principles.
- Familiarity with directory services including Active Directory and LDAP.
- Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript and PowerShell, as well as SQL queries.
- Knowledge of data security practices, procedures, monitoring and alert tools, and risk management standards.
- Ability to communicate security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities clearly and effectively.
- Availability for after-hours operational support on a rotational basis, with minimal travel requirements.
