What you’ll impact
The Senior Backend Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services and data systems that power a wallet platform. The role leverages Go, Python, or Java within cloud‑native architectures to create high‑performance, secure APIs and infrastructure components. Key deliverables include implementing product‑facing features, optimizing system performance, and ensuring reliability and risk reduction for cryptocurrency trading and tokenized stock services. The engineer collaborates with product managers, designers, security professionals, and external vendors, while mentoring peers and driving technical standards through design reviews and architecture discussions.
Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Design, build, test, and deploy scalable backend services that power the company's wallet product.
- Develop product-facing features and platform enhancements that meet strict correctness and scalability standards.
- Identify and implement improvements to system performance, engineering productivity, and risk reduction.
- Collaborate closely with client teams, product managers, designers, and external vendors to deliver reliable technical solutions.
- Mentor other engineers and raise the technical standards of the team through design reviews, architecture discussions, and hands-on leadership.

- You will develop reliable and secure solutions to deliver a high-quality trading experience for cryptocurrencies and tokenized stocks, including perpetual futures, to customers worldwide.
- You will take lead responsibility for designing scalable architectures and maintaining high-quality codebases.
- You will collaborate closely with client engineers, security professionals, and external node providers to deliver high-quality, secure technical integrations.
- Additionally, you will mentor other engineers and raise our overall engineering standards through design reviews, architecture discussions, and hands-on technical leadership.
Requirements
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Expertise in backend development using languages such as Go, Python, or Java, with deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures.
- Strong grasp of system design, data modeling, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Proven ability to simplify complex problems, make sound tradeoffs, and drive alignment across product, engineering, and design teams.
- Strong sense of personal accountability with a track record of delivering high-quality, end-to-end products and raising team-wide technical standards.
